ABOUT THE BINDERS
Neeki Art Journals was created originally because of my love for journal keeping. I find myself using the computer more and more for everything and, of course, my journal, which was once hand-written, is now done on the computer as well. The only problem was that I did not like storing my print-outs in an ordinary looking plastic binder - hence the idea was born for a decorative wooden binder that will suit the best of both worlds......
Neeki Art Journals are fine-crafted wooden journals made from either oak or birch veneer that feature a variety of beautiful artwork on the cover, such as mystical themes - faeries, mermaids, flowers, sea creatures, Celtic or Tribal tattoo art and an endless variety of themes. The veneer is used instead of solid wood for rigidity and for durability. They are made to last.
All work is done by hand. Binders are burned, painted & varnished with great attention to detail. Even though, they were originally created for journal keeping, they are completely adaptable to any number of uses such as: family trees, scrap-booking, photo albums, wedding guest books, business or artists' portfolios, as well as just about anything else you would use to store in a binder. We use water-base products for paint and varnish.
Most binders can be duplicated but will have slight differences since they are all hand made. This also gives us the flexibility to adapt whatever color preferences you may have in paint and stain. We take great pride in quality control and pay great attention to detail. Our binders are recommended for either table-top use or to be stored in shelving. Since it is artwork, we do not recommend them for back-pack use.
